Born and brought up in Punhana, a small village in Mewat district of Haryana, India, Salman Ali is the winner of the 10th season of Indian Idol. He was also the first runner up of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs 2011. Besides Indian Idol, Salman Ali lent his voice for the theme song of the Indian Television Series Chandragupta Maurya, airing on Sony TV.
